Happy Holidays everyone!

In case you were unable to make it the boy's jv and varsity teams both one their non conference games down in Milwaukee. A great victory led by Adam Bell's early downpour of threes and John Anderson with his first varsity start. Thank you to all East fans who attended and once again Happy Holidays

It's good to know people are reading this after I had to resort to ALL CAPS!!!! Anyway, tonight you are getting hit with my rant on the NFL.

But first, a preview for the big game on Saturday night. There are many questions surrounding this game. Although I would like to pretend otherwise, I am no expert either. What I do know is that St. Paul Johnson is a big team and very strong. One thing working in our benefit will be our speed and quickness which will lead to many three balls raining down. I also know they like to throw an agressive 2-3. Come watch as varsity B-ball looks to extend its current winning streak.

Now on to a topic that has upset me. The NFL has turned down Roy Williams' suspension appeal for a horsecollar tackle. For those of you unaware of what a horse collar is, it is a tackle in which a.) T.O. is tackled from behind and fakes injury or b.) Roy Williams tackles anybody from behind. He is being fined for an illegal tackle which makes me wonder why we don't just give the quarterbacks a belt with flags, or better yet have a NTHTFL (National Two Hand Touch Football League) anybody else mad about the horse collar rule?

Ive been meaning to write a new post but I've been really busy and there hasn't been a whole lot to write about UNTIL TODAY...

MH:Congratulations on a big win last night, what was Fondy ranked?
DS: They're the number two team in the state.
MH: What was they key factor in the win?
DS: We just came together as a team and played really well.

I'm BAAAAAACK

Sorry, it's been a while since my last post, and we have some catching up to do.

Boy's Basketball is off to a 3-0 start beating Neenah Friday night after putting out Reed Becker's early storm of threes. Boys look to improve their record against the also undefeated Fondy on Friday night at home. Look for a scoring frenzy.

Speaking of undefeated teams, the Girl's team is off to a 2-0 start after beating Madison West. However, the win came with a price as PG Tristan Weiner is out for the season with a torn ACL...ouch. Despite the setback, the girls rebounded back grabbing a 50-37 win over Neenah as well Friday Night.

Correct Guns & Otizzidizzidizawg on the trivia question

Now to more important issues...
The boy's basketball team started off its year with a win at Xavier tonite. The game started with a zillion threes, and the first quarter was iced with a chilling, buzzer beating, Johnny Coenen 3ball. Also stepping up was Michael Schnabel hitting his first varsity three, and this one Max Herrmann kid knocking down a free-throw during the mop up minutes

Happy Thanksgiving everyone...I'll add schedules and games of the week starting next week and I'll post tommorow with some other stuff besides box score.

The answer to the last trivia question was 5...don't go answering all at once.

The Appleton Boy's United Hockey Team kicked off, or shall I say, faced off for the first time this year. Left wing David "Dahveed" Salzwedel, scored one of United's goals. When asked to comment on the early outlook of the season, Salzwedel replied "Good".
Quite a ravishing statement.

Welcome everyone to the blog. I hope you all find your stay enjoyable. Otis...you were funny, but wrong with your answer to the trivia question. The correct response was "Max 'Greatness' Herrmann, at his finest, is Mr. Otis's favorite form of entertainment".

Now, on to more pressing issues. By press I mean picking it up full court which is how basketball has started its week of two a days from H...well you can guess where. Things are looking up for our boys, sorry ladies but I have not yet gotten a chance to see you in action.

On another note, rasslin has also begun and it seems as if pounds are being shed as I type.

I don't have much else but I would love feedback from those who do read this or will plan on it in the future. Please comment as yourself, I do not want hurt feelings by people using fake names. I plan to write in here as much as I possibly can. However, the Mavericks are killing the Spurs right now so my loyalties lie elsewhere tonight.

Trivia Question of the day: How many track and field records were set last year (Male&Female)?

Wednesday, November 7, 2007

The football team continued its tradition of the "Burning" today after school. It is an annual afterthought to end every season. Although the name accurately displays what takes place, there is more to the "Burning" than burning. It starts with seniors placing various items into a fire; items which are reminders of the season, or the players' football careers. Along with the dropping into the fire, the players give advice to the tune of never quitting, working hard, staying out of trouble, and not taking anything for granted. Afterwards, the ashes from the fire are spread across the field as a way to keep the senior class with the future teams forever. It is the true way to "leave it on the field"

Swimming--Congratulations Erica Halley, Katie Mumford, Hannah Forcee, and Danielle Klunk, I think that's all, for reaching state in swimming in your respective races. If I missed you and you are upset let me know...I apologize in advance.

Well here we go...

I highly doubt anybody is reading this because no one knows this site exists yet. However I will get in the habit of writing on this now. There isn't much to talk about, and I would like to post all conference recognition as soon as it is made available to me.
